As we continue to expand our operations, we are looking for a visionary and results-driven Regional Director to lead our UK ground handling services, drive change, and optimize performance across multiple stations.

 

Role Overview:
The Regional Director will be responsible for overseeing the operational, financial, and strategic aspects of Red Handling's UK and Fenix Logistix Ireland operations. This pivotal role will focus on driving transformational change, improving operational efficiency, managing costs, and fostering a high-performance culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership background in the ground handling or aviation sector, with a proven track record in delivering sustainable operational and financial improvements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategy:
    Provide visionary leadership , setting strategic goals to drive operational excellence and ensure alignment with company objectives.

  • Operational Excellence:
    Oversee day-to-day ground handling operations to ensure high standards of service delivery and compliance with industry regulations. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and performance.

  • Driving Change:
    Lead transformational change projects aimed at modernizing processes, improving resource utilization, and adopting innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of our airline partners.

  • Cost Management:
    Develop and execute strategies to manage and reduce operational costs while maintaining quality and service standards. Drive initiatives focused on efficiency, optimization, and cost control.

  • Stakeholder Management:
    Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including airline clients, regulatory authorities, and internal teams. Act as the primary point of contact for strategic discussions and contract negotiations.

  • Team Development:
    Inspire, mentor, and develop station managers and their teams, promoting a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous development.

  • Health & Safety:
    Ensure all operations meet the highest standards of health, safety, and compliance. Promote a safety-first culture and lead initiatives to minimize operational risks.

  • Financial Performance:
    Monitor financial performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement cost-saving measures.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • 5 years proven experience in a senior leadership role within the ground handling or aviation industry.

  • Strong track record in driving change and implementing process improvements.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale operations and multiple stations.

  • In-depth knowledge of cost management, budgeting, and financial performance optimization.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and regulatory compliance within the aviation sector.

  • Ability to inspire, develop, and lead high-performing teams.
