Red Handling UK is excited to announce an award and contract for full handling of the new long-haul airline Norse Atlantic Airways at London Gatwick Airport.

Out team’s continuous support in delivering high quality handling at LGW has paved the way for this new partnership with a bold new airline. We would like to thank our team’s dedication and hard work in making this happen.

The Norse operation is due to start in August of 2022, with planned frequency at two flights per day for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner “Longship” aircraft to the United States.

We would also like to congratulate our parent company Fenix Logistix Inc for their new partnership with Norse at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and New York John F. Kennedy International Airport, with operations commencing in June of 2022.

FLi and RED are working together to provide safe passages across the Atlantic for the Norse Longships.

RED Handling UK Limited is proud to announce a new, long-term partnership with TAP Air Portugal at London Gatwick in providing Passenger Services and Ramp Handling. TAP has been a strong partner with RED Handling for years and has recently committed to a new agreement.


This new commitment solidifies the trust that TAP has in RED Handling / Fenix Logistix recent merger and improved operations. We are honored and proud to be a part of TAP’s safe, reliable, and on-time departures with great customer service. As the industry rebounds, RED Handling is proving to be a great partner in strength of customer service and reliability. Fenix Logistix Ireland LTD agrees to purchase Red Handling UK from Norwegian Airlines

Fenix Ireland will be off to a great start for 2022, with another significant step in establishing a solid business in the UK and Europe.  In an agreement reached earlier, Fenix Logistix Ireland Limited is acquiring Red Handling UK Limited from Norwegian Airlines AS.

Red handling was established in 2016 as a test model to be an ex parte dedicated handling company for Norwegian Airlines’ largest hub outside of Scandinavia.  It was very successful in providing service to Norwegian and quickly grew as the preferred partner to some of Europe’s best airlines.  As the aviation market was decimated by the pandemic affecting the world, Red Handling UK was able to navigate the challenges carefully and successfully.  Red proved to be a solid partner to the airlines that depend on their service and a great choice by Fenix to begin this journey.   

Fenix Aviation is pleased to add Red Handling to our family.  The company will become a wholly owned subsidiary to the Fenix Logistix Ireland, Limited at 0001am 01JAN22. The culture of outstanding safety and service record that Red Handling UK has built over years is a reflection of the hard-working individuals and partners at the London Gatwick Airport operation.  The core values and competencies established by Red Handling UK are perfectly aligned with the Fenix Group. 

Norwegian Selects RED HANDLING UK Ltd (A Fenix Logistix Ireland company) at LGW

RED Handling UK Limited (Fenix Logistix Ireland company) is proud to announce that we have been selected as the partner of choice by Norwegian Air AS in support of its London Gatwick (LGW) operations.  After a successful tender process and careful evaluation, it was determined that RED Handling is the most favorable partner to provide Passenger Services, Ramp Handling, and Aircraft De-icing services for Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA.


Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA, trading as Norwegian, is Norway's most prominent a low-cost airline.  It is the fourth largest low-cost carrier in Europe after Wizz Air, Easy Jet, and Ryanair.  Norwegian offers a high-frequency domestic flight schedule within Scandinavia's leisure and business destinations within Europe.  London Gatwick is the 4th largest destination in its network and largest outside the Nordic Countries.


Gatwick will provide an excellent opportunity for RED Handling as it is the 2nd busiest airport by total passenger traffic in the UK after Heathrow and is the 10th busiest airport in Europe.  Pre-pandemic LGW was handling around a 46million passengers a year, with Norwegian as its 3rd largest carrier. This new partnership builds on a strong history of RED Handling at LGW as a previously held Norwegian Airlines wholly owned subsidiary. Fenix will invest in the assets and operations of RED Handling, continuing the legacy of service while adding new airline partners to the operation in the future.
